wine64 from Epel does not start win32 applications
It is recommended to use "playonlinux" distribution there. However, I prefer to compile my own wine distribution, see "Building a shared WoW64 setup" on
Install prerequisites:
yum groupinstall 'Development Tools' yum install libjpeg-turbo-devel libtiff-develinstall 32 bit of development tools ( not sure about specific subset, thus use an extensive approach):
yum install gcc.i686 yum install `rpm -qa |grep devel |sed -e 's/x86_64$/i686/'`
Download fresh wine:
cd /usr/src wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wine/wine-1.7.38.tar.bz2 tar xjf wine-1.7.38.tar.bz2
Configure and compile: 64-bit first, 32 afterwards
mkdir wine32 wine64
cd wine64 ../wine-1.7.38/configure --enable-win64 make -j 4
cd ../wine32/ ../wine-1.7.38/configure --with-wine64=../wine64 make -j 4
install in reverse order: 32-bit first
make install cd ../wine64 make install
The resulting installation goes to
/usr/local/. It can be uninstalled using cd /usr/src/wine32 make uninstall cd /usr/src/wine64 make uninstall(not tested).
This is the only guide that worked for me to get wine 32bit (1.9.16) working on CentOS 7, thank you! Děkuji!
OdpovědětVymazatThank you for publishing this post! It helped me too. I succeeded in running 32-bit Win application in CentOS 7 64-bit.
OdpovědětVymazatOnly this solution works over whole internet.. Thanks!
